Reynosa, Tamaulipas — A total of 15 armored monster vehicles used in criminal activity by gang members have been destroyed. The armored vehicles are known to be enhanced and in some instance, even made bullet proof, by criminal organizations. They are referred to as ‘monster’ vehicles by police.
The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) reported the destruction of 15 of those armored vehicle in compliance with the National Code of Criminal Procedures, which provides for the destruction of objects that are instruments of crime.
All 15 vehicles with handmade armor (monsters), which were allegedly used by organized crime members, were destroyed. They were destroyed at the FGR facilities in Reynosa, Tamaulipas and were related to seizures made in August and September of this year.
