Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two people inside a Playa del Carmen seafood restaurant were hit by bullets Wednesday. The evening shooting took place on Benito Juárez Avenue shortly before 7:00 p.m.

According to the 9-1-1 report, a waiter and patron were hit by bullets aimed at the resturant by an armed man who opened fire then fled on a motorcycle. Police and an ambulance arrived at the Man-Kii restaurant to transport an injured woman to hospital.
The other injured person was taken to hospital in a private vehicle. At the scene, Investigative Police collected seven spent shell casings found between the restaurant and the avenue.

They also requested security camera footage from the restaurant and surrounding areas to identify those responsible. Authorities have not commented on the shooting.
