Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Another suspect in the kidnapping of a minor and murder of a Playa del Carmen man has been arrested. Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office served an arrest warrant on Manuel Alberto “N” for the August 2024 crimes.
According to police, an arrest warrant was issued for Manuel Alberto “N” “for his alleged involvement in acts possibly constituting the crimes of qualified homicide and deprivation of personal liberty.
“According to initial investigations, on August 11, 2024, in the company of two other subjects, he arrived at the home of the minor victim carrying short firearms to put the victim in a vehicle and take him to a tenement where another suspect already arrested, Darwin Daniel “N” alias “Tiro Loco”, was also present.
“They then took the victim to a drug sales point where they deprived a subject of his freedom, of unknown identity. They then took both victims to a vacant lot, where they killed the male, while the minor was transported to the municipality of Tulum.”
Staff of the State Attorney General’s Office fulfilled the arrest warrant against Manuel Alberto “N”. Police say the suspect is being held at the Playa del Carmen Municipal Detention Center.
