Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Solidaridad city council says the third phase for the new municipal palace, which consists of a civic plaza, offices and customer service area, is complete. The municipality of Solidaridad made the announcement, adding that the new offices include those of the Secretariat of Municipal Territorial Planning and Sustainability and the Revenue Department, among others.
The Secretary of Municipal Territorial Planning and Sustainability, David Duarte Castilla, reported that the work consisted of several stages including the completion of the plaza, lighting and the consolidation of the Municipal Palace, with new offices for Urban Development, Environment, Sustainable and Climate Change directorates and Infrastructure and Public Works.
The new municipal palace for Ayuntamiento de Solidaridad also includes ample parking and elevators for the disabled. Duarte Castilla pointed out that the Palacio Municipal was an unfinished project inherited from the previous administration. The new building is located on Ave. CTM between 115 and 125 Ave. Norte behind the Sayab Planetarium.
