Another homeless person dies on Playa del Carmen streets

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — For the second time in less than a week, another homeless person has been found dead in Playa del Carmen. Early Monday, the body of a man laying in a vacant lot was reported to emergency 9-1-1.

Police responding to the call located a deceased adult male in the Nicte Ha neighborhood. The man was seen by neighbors around 6:30 a.m. as they left for work.

His body was found lying in a vacant lot located on Constructores Avenue and Quinta Avenida. Municipal Police were called by neighbors to remove him, however, when they arrived, they realized he was dead.

Paramedics were called in to verify the death of the man. The area was cordoned off while staff from the State Attorney General’s Office removed the body.

The body of a homeless man was found charred in debris Saturday morning.

Two days ago, the charred body of a man neighbors reported as homeless was found in debris after a fire ripped through a makeshift shack. The man was taking shelter from the cold and lit and candle that started the deadly blaze.
