Huatabampo, Sonora — A man remains in legal custody after the FGR finds a ton and a half of methamphetamine. Truck driver José “M” was arrested in Huatabampo, Sonora, Monday on charges of transporting narcotics.
According to the Public Ministry of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), police have begun an investigation into José “M” “for his probable responsibility in transporting methamphetamine.”
According to their investigation, elements of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), derived from an anonymous complaint, located the semi on the Mexico 15 international highway in Huatabampo, Sonora.
“When reviewing and inspecting said unit, they seized 2,855 packages that together contained 1,425 kilos of methamphetamine.”
The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) is heading the investigation.
