Anonymous tip leads feds to 647 kilos of cocaine

Huixtla, Chiapas — For drug-related crimes, the Attorney General of the Republic in Chiapas began an investigation against a man who was found transporting approximately 647 kilos of cocaine.

According to the Informe Policial Homologado, the finding was made via an anonymous tip. Elements of the Federal Ministerial Police were alerted to the transport truck, which was said to be carrying drugs. While waiting in Huixtla, they observed the truck and driver described in the tip.

The driver of the unit was pulled over and an inspection carried out. Among his cargo, federal officials found 13 raffia bags in the box of the truck, which each contained a rectangular package of cocaine. In total, their inspection revealed a total of 647 packages, weighing approximately 647 kilos.

Federal authorities report the arrest of 67-year-old Indalecio Z, along with the seizure of his unit and drug shipment.
