Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police began an intense search for a subject Friday morning after the body of a person was reported. An anonymous call lead police to the grisly discovery of a person stuffed into a suitcase in the far west region of the city.
The body was located in a new residential area along Avenida Universidades after authorities received the 2:00 a.m. report. When they arrived in the Villa Bonanza subdivision, a suitcase with human remains was found.
Forensic medical services was brought in to remove the body. Additional information, including the sex and age of the body found, was not revealed.
