La Paz, Baja California Sur — An American man will stand trial in a Mexico court for the illegal possession of a firearm. The Los Angeles native was found with the weapon in Terminal 2 of the San José del Cabo International Airport last month.
According to the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), Keith “F” was arrested from the terminal by the National Guard after the gun was located in his luggage.
“The defendant was detained by elements of the National Guard in Terminal 2 of the San José del Cabo International Airport when boarding a flight to the City of Los Angeles, California for carrying a .9 mm caliber firearm supplied with eight useful cartridges of the same caliber,” the FGR said in their report.
The Baja California Sur judge has ordered Keith “F” to remain in prison for the duration of his trial, which is expected to begin in two months.
