Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — The body of an American resident has been found inside his home on a ranch in the southern municipality of Othón P. Blanco.
Police responded to the discovery of a deceased male inside a home located on a ranch near Uvero, just outside the state capital city of Chetumal.
Jorge, a local resident, happened upon the body Thursday and called police. Federal and Ministerial Police arrived and found the deceased holding a revolver. The American man, identified only as 62-year-old Steven T., was found with a single gunshot wound to the head.
The death has been ruled a suicide, however, investigations continue. No other information was released.
