American man extradited on charges of ammunition trafficking

Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua — An American fugitive wanted for criminal association and ammunition trafficking has been arrested in Ciudad Juarez.

According to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic, la Policía Federal Ministerial along with Interpol have detained Erick M in Cuidad Juarez who is an alleged ammunition trafficker being extradited back to the United States.

The Office reports that pursuant to the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the United States, elements of the Federal Ministerial Police completed a formal arrest warrant of extradition issued by a District Judge against Erik M, who was considered a fugitive sought by US authorities.

The accused “is required to be tried before the Federal Court in the District of Colorado for the crimes of criminal association and smuggling of ammunition,” the Attorney General said in a statement.
