Cozumel, Q.R. — The Charlotte-Cozumel air route of American Airlines was reactivated this weekend with the arrival of 100 passengers. The flight landed as scheduled after the passing of Hurricane Delta.
Authorities highlighted that in record time, Cozumel was ready to receive visitors after the passing of the storm. The American Airlines flight will service the island from Dallas, Miami and now, Charlotte.
Cozumel has also reconnected the Cozumel-Mexico City route with Volaris. The island will have new air routes in November, with United and WestJet airlines from Chicago and Toronto, respectively.
In addition, American Airlines will increase its flights from Miami and Charlotte. In December, airlines of United, Sun Country, American and Air Canada will connect the island with Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago and Toronto.
