Air Transat resumes Montreal Cozumel flight after three year absence

Cozumel, Q.R. — With the traditional water arch, an Air Transat flight from Montreal was welcomed to Cozumel after a three year absence. The flight landed over the weekend at the island’s international airport after being gone three years.

Air Transat has resumed its weekly Montreal to Cozumel flights. The airline says the flights are seasonal and will continue until April 26, 2024.

Cozumel Director of Tourism, Badhi Sleme Flores, stressed the importance to continue strengthening ties to increase air connectivity and receive more tourists who can stay longer in Cozumel.

He said the municipal government continues to work on the promotion of the destination as well as on strategies for the diversification of services to attract more overnight tourists.

Badhi Sleme Flores, along with Airport Administrator, Jorge Carlos Campos Romero and Air Transat representative Miguel Ángel Silvaran, welcomed the 67 Montreal passengers to the island.
