Air Canada to start direct flights into Tulum International this weekend

Tulum, Q.R. — Air Canada is set to being offering the first direct Canada to Tulum flights via the Tulum International Airport. The direct flights from Toronto and Montreal are scheduled to begin this weekend, making them the first Canadian airline to do so.

The first flight to leave bound for Tulum will be from Toronto on May 3. The following day on May 4, Air Canada will start its direct Montreal to Tulum flight.

“New route alert! Beginning May 3, 2024, you’ll be able to fly direct to Tulum from Toronto on Fridays and Sundays, and from May 4, 2024, direct from Montreal on Saturdays. Look for the airport: Tulum (TQO) under Flight Details when booking your vacation package,” the airline said in a press release.

“Pristine sand-swept beaches along the shores of an ancient Mayan port city are just some of the things that make Tulum so tempting to travellers. Snorkel among coral reefs and make friends with sea turtles or explore cliffside castles and ruins overlooking the sea.

“Whether it’s stepping back to the Mayan age for some cultural immersion, or leaping into a modern-day spa treatment, Tulum’s got what you’re looking for,” they added.

“These new destinations and routes reflect Air Canada’s market leadership and network diversification strategy of adding capacity to in-demand leisure destinations such as Tulum and fast-growing, key metropolitan areas in the US,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada.

Air Canada announced the new flights in mid-December of last year. Both flights are scheduled to be offered year round.
