Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The delegation from Quintana Roo reached agreements with airlines and travel agencies, reports the state’s Secretary of Tourism, Bernardo Cueto Riestra.
On the second day of the largest tourism market in the world, Cueto Riestra explained that together with the director of the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council (CPTQ), Javier Aranda Pedrero, meetings were held with directors of the Ávoris agency, with representatives of the online travel platform Expedia, as well as with Viajes El Corte Inglés and the Spanish commercial airline World2Fly.
He stressed that these strategic alliances will expand the tourist market of the Mexican Caribbean and generate more sources of employment and a shared sustainable economy as established in the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa.
Likewise, within the framework of the 43rd edition of the WTM London 2022, Bernardo Cueto signed, together with the municipal president of Puerto Morelos, Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz, the first collaboration agreement to work in coordination through the RETUR Q platform.
The foregoing will allow improvements, compliance and updates of the tourist offer, as well as a broad panorama of tourism service providers.
Municipal heads from the state, along with other representatives, participated in the 43rd Edition of the World Travel Market recently held in London. The state of Quintana Roo participated to increase its European market reach.
