Bacalar, Q.R. — Bacalar authorities have reported the drowning of a 49-year-old man in Siete Colores Lagoon. The man drowned sometime around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Bacalar Municipal Police identified the deceased as Pedro “R”. Paramedics were called to the Lagoon of Seven Colors where medical personnel confirmed his death.
It is not clear if the now-deceased was an area resident or visitor for the Easter holidays.
Municipal Police guarded the area pending the arrival of Forensic Medical Service, for the removal of the body.
