Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An adult male reportedly drowned Sunday off the beach of a Playa del Carmen hotel. The unidentified man was pulled from the sea near Punta Esmeralda Sunday around noon.
The now deceased has not been identified beyond being a 23-year-old male. Authorities have not reported on the death or clarified if he was a local man or visitor to the city.
