Cancun, Riviera Maya, Q.R. — A notice addressed to all ADO passengers says the company now requires a piece of identification before boarding. The notice was released in response to new actions being taken by the federal government regarding the flow of migrants throughout the country.
In a realsed notice, Autobuses del Oriente (ADO) announced Tuesday that due to the issue of these migrants, they will now be asking passengers for identification before boarding.
“We inform you that due to the migration contingency and in response to the actions implemented by the Federal Government, it is a requirement for boarding the bus to present some official identification” the company said in a notice.
In a statement, ADO says the documents they will accept for identification include a passport, credential of the National Electoral Institute, professional certificate, management license, unique Military Identification Card (TUIM) and/or credentials issued by government institutions.
