A Puerto Aventuras sidewalk exchange gets nine transferred to Playa del Carmen jail

Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Municipal Police agents have captured nine alleged members of a cell of drug dealers in Puerto Aventuras. Their arrests were made Monday morning along Calzada del Sol Avenue when surveying police noticed an exchange taking place between the group.

While conducting a review, police located numerous street doses of narcotics along with cash and loaded weapons. Police proceeded to arrest the group who consisted of 26-year-old Ernesto N from Tabasco and 39-year-old Roberto N also from Tabasco.

Leonardo N, 30, from Quintana Roo, Silverio N, 35, from Quintana Roo, Carlos Alfredo N, 32, from Tabasco, Alberto Geovani N, 22, from Quintana Roo, Arturo N, 26, from Tabasco, Diego N, 22, from Tabasco and 21-year-old Miguel Ángel N, 21, from Veracruz were also taken into custody.

In total, police located 47 bags of narcotics and three weapons. All nine were processed and transferred to Playa del Carmen where they continue to wait for further legal proceedings.
