Kantunilkin, Q.R. — An elderly man was killed when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle. The accident happened Monday near the port of Chiquilá along the Chiquilá-San Eusebio section of roadway.
Reports say the 84-year-old man was riding his bike when he was hit by a gray SUV with Yucatan plates. The SUV was being driven by José N from Mexico City who was in the area for a Holbox vacation.
The deceased was identified by his 48-year-old son as 84-year-old Juan Marcial N who lived in the port of Chiquilá. Paramedics were called to the accident site, but the man had already died.
