Tecpan, Guerrero — A 6.0 magnitude in Tecpan, Guerrero shook several Pacific Mexican states. Sismologico Nacional recorded the earthquake at 8:31 a.m. Sunday. Shortly after the earthquake, Mexico City Government Head Claudia Sheinbaum reported ‘no damage’ from one of the cities effected.
Sheinbaum reported that according to information from the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection, there have been no incidents from the Sunday earthquake.
According to the National Seismological Service, an earthquake of 6.0 was registered in Tecpan, Guerrero. That earthquake led to the activation of the seismic alert in CDMX, and was felt in Oaxaca, Acapulco, Chilpancingo, Morelia, Puebla.
On social media, the National Seismological Service reported that “as of 08:00 hours on December 11, 11,841 aftershocks had been registered.”
