Xalapa, Veracruz — The Secretariat of Civil Protection of Veracruz has confirmed the death of 21 people after a bus and tractor trailer collision along the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway in the state of Veracruz.
Civil Protection has reported the death of 19 on site and two in hospital after a tractor trailer reportedly rear ended a passenger bus. The bus, which was heading from Mexico City to Chiapas, was carrying a full busload of passengers.
Both vehicles caught fire after the collision. Reports say another 30 people were also injured in the massive highway accident.
