Tehuacán, Puebla — A cargo truck transporting pilgrims to a sanctuary in Oaxaca overturned along the highway leaving at least 20 injured.
Authorities says the accident happened Saturday night along the the Oaxaca-Cuacnoapalapan highway after the driver of the truck lost control.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Tehuacán, Puebla. Authorities say they are still looking for the driver of the cargo truck who fled the scene after the accident.
Those inside the vehicle were on a pilgrimage to the sanctuary of the Virgen de Juquila in Oaxaca.
